It allows for the use of any type of side panel grips (wood, simulated ivory, pearlite, etc.), and because the side portion of these grips is only 1mm thick, the overall width is only minimally affected. Use these finger grooves with Colt Officer Model/CCO/Defender, Kimber Compact, Para Ordnance C7.45, Springfield V10 single stack, and equivalent frame models.
