Springfield Armory's M1A SOCOM starts with a specially-engineered barrel mated to the gas system with a proprietary muzzle brake. The muzzle brake reduces felt recoil and keeps muzzle rise so flat that follow-up shots with this powerful 308 Win/7.62x51mm have never been so easy. It has an XS post front sight with a Tritium insert and .125 blade. It also features an enlarged ghost ring aperture rear sight, .135" with MOA Adjustment for both windage and elevation. SOCOM 16 rifles include one 10-round Parkerized steel magazine. A modernized descendant of the distinguished M14 and M1A rifles, the SOCOM CQB model offers quick and easy handling for defensive use indoors or out. The 16.25" barrel has a black Parkerized finish, and the CQB features a 5-position CQB stock with an adjustable 2-position cheek piece, M-Lok rail system with one 7-slot and two 3-slot segments.
